For some time now I’ve been talking to the people closest to me about my need to formalise my strategy for coaching people about optimal health. I’m not going to go over why I think I’m well positioned for that here, because I wrote about it extensively in this other post.
To cut a long story short, this month I enrolled in the 1-year online Health Coach Training Program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the world’s largest nutrition school.
To tell the truth, I’m already quite confident in my knowledge and application of solid health and fitness principles. After all, one doesn’t need a PhD to research, apply then share evidence-based techniques. But I think there’s something legitimate to be said about “walking the talk” and actually testing one’s knowledge in a well known testing system and then getting certified thereof.
So, I’m now studying hard at the IIN, and the first of 4 tests comes up on August 22nd. Let’s see how I go. 🙂
